This character problem is one that is a problem that requires the attention of every nation. This can happen both in developed countries or even developing countries and even more so in underdeveloped countries. The occurrence of a decline in character values or the loss of a nation's character values will be one of the reasons that causes the slow development of each nation. This is because the character of each nation is actually the beginning of progress and will even become a foundation for development. For this reason, forming the disciplined character of students at SMP N 1 Ngebel Ponorogo is one of the methods prepared by every teacher to prepare them to face the challenges of the times. This research aims to: (1) find out how the implementation of the teacher's exemplary method in shaping the discipline character of class VII students at SMP N 1 Ngebel Ponorogo (2) find out how the implementation of the teacher's habituation method in shaping the discipline character of class VII students at SMP N 1 Ngebel Ponorogo ( 3) find out what students' perspectives are regarding role models and teacher habits in shaping the disciplined character of class VII students at SMP N 1 Ngebel Ponorogo. This research uses a qualitative approach where the researcher is the instrument in collecting data in the field. Data collection by researchers uses interviews, observation and documentation which will then be described and analyzed, finally the researcher will draw conclusions. The results of this research show that: (1) The implementation of the teacher's exemplary method in forming the discipline character of class VIII students at SMP N 1 Ngebel Ponorogo, namely that the teacher uses the exemplary method which deliberately includes school evaluation, discipline such as leaving early, obeying rules and teaching on time. Meanwhile, unintentional exemplary methods include speaking politely, praying in congregation, being honest, helping others, and maintaining cleanliness. (2) Implementation of the teacher habituation method in forming the disciplined character of class VIII students at SMP N 1 Ngebel Ponorogo, namely by using a programmed habituation method involving prayer , welcome students well, provide motivation, and exchange opinions to reduce the risk of violations. Unprogrammed habits involve helping, maintaining cleanliness, listening, and using the right hand when eating. All habituation is carried out continuously from the start of school. (3) The students' perspective regarding the implementation of the exemplary and habituation method provided by the teacher in forming the disciplined character of class VIII students at SMP N 1 Ngebel Ponorogo is where the teacher has provided a good example and good habits. However, because there are still some teachers who are still lacking, there is a need to improve the quality of teachers so that students become more disciplined, of course.
