This study aims to analyze the role of the madrasah principal's academic supervision in assisting Al-Qur'an Hadith teachers at MTsN 1 Madiun in preparing lesson plans and assessment instruments. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the madrasah principal, Al-Qur'an Hadith teachers, the curriculum vice-principal, and the madrasah supervisor. Additional data were gathered through observation and documentation analysis of lesson plans (RPP) and assessment instruments. Data analysis followed an interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings indicate that the principal's supervision plays a significant role in improving the quality of lesson plans and assessment instruments through collaborative and continuous mentoring approaches. Supervision activities include technical guidance, regular discussions, and document reviews focused on curriculum alignment, integration of Islamic values, and the development of authentic assessments. Key challenges identified were time constraints for the principal, some teachers' lack of understanding in formulating indicators and assessment instruments, and administrative burdens. Proposed solutions include forming a supervisory team, conducting technical workshops, and utilizing digital platforms for monitoring. This research underscores the importance of academic supervision oriented towards professional development to enhance the quality of meaningful learning in madrasahs.
