Social attitude is an essential aspect of character development as it relates to students’ ability to interact, collaborate, and demonstrate positive behavior in daily life. This study aims to compare the social attitudes of dormitory and non-dormitory students at MA Tahfidz Plus Al Ishlah Tambakmas Madiun in the 2024/2025 academic year. A comparative quantitative approach was employed, involving a population consisting of all students grouped according to their place of residence. The sample consisted of 44 students, comprising 22 dormitory students and 22 non-dormitory students selected through a non-probability sampling technique using systematic sampling. Data were collected using a social attitude scale questionnaire covering indicators of honesty, discipline, responsibility, tolerance, cooperation, politeness, and self-confidence. The data were analyzed descriptively and through comparative statistical tests to determine differences between the two groups. The results indicate that dormitory students show higher social attitude categories, with 50% classified as very good and 45.5% as good, whereas non-dormitory students show 36.4% in the very good category and 54.5% in the good category. The independent sample t-test confirmed a significant difference between the two groups, suggesting that residential environment influences the development of students’ social attitudes.
